a fan

a fan

lovestruck teen
written love letters
with depth
heart and soul
unknowingly naive
young, vulnerable
words hold layers
of meaningful destinies.
years pass
age sets in
things clear
humanity flawed
locks forever
a fan for life
seeing the human
not a god and goddess
the words mean less
the feelings are too.
But the bond
is stronger
the distance
is closer.
I am less a fan
More a friend.
