bananas and giraffes

The banana’s
Outer layers begin to spot
With the color brown.
Like spots on a giraffe
On a normal day
As it graces and grazes
In the greenery of Mother Nature.
Hungry hunters find some
To tear their skins for rugs
Or cut banana meat for bread.
While others live on peacefully
Without fear of death.
The bananas and giraffes;
Their souls revive again
As their bodies decompose
On the grounds of resurrection.
As their babies survive
On their kissed goodbyes.
Time will transform new bodies
Like the rings on tree trunks
Or yellowing of newspapers.
Only to see the brown spots
Appear in another.
